Summer School at the Home of the Friendly Fanihi welcomed Upi Elementary students and, of course, our own D. L. Perez Elementary students. December - The library opened for class visits and computer lab usage. Students are able to check out Everybody, Fiction -Chapter Books, Non-Fiction, and NEW books! Current - Paperback books are not available for checkout. Some are being surveyed because of wear and damage, some are being re-processed, some are to be exchanged with hardcover format. There are about 300 paperback books to be processed. Most library books have barcode labels to track check out check in usage. There are about 300 books which have the following concerns: no barcode labels from book publishers because the publishers do not offer a barcode service; re-used barcode labels have old book information on Atriuum; barcodes labels do not contain the book information; barcode labels not recognized by Atriuum. Plan - Continue library services as scheduled however patrons are asked to be patient to address books with barcode concerns during check out. |
